COYOTE Calendar: October 22-October 28

This week we've got a broth bar buffet, a backwards reading of the U.S. Constitution, rice porridge for dogs, and more.

Bold hand drawn words like "poetry" "sports" and "comics" surround a coyote reading a book, against a teal background.

Welcome to the COYOTE Calendar. Here are this week's hand-picked events, just for you. (This week, Reo's on vacation, so Soleil is taking over!)

The rapid ramp-up to Halloween is coming! Do you feel it in the air? ‘Til then, we’ve got Walktober, a citywide walking fest in San Francisco, if you need practice for the big trick or treat trek. In Monterey, the California Seaweed Festival on Oct. 24 will include music, dance, lectures, and cooking demos all about our ocean’s greenery. Litquake continues to take over the Bay Area — at least until Oct. 24. Meanwhile, the Bay Area Musical Improv Festival will be running at Oakland’s All Out Comedy Theater until Oct. 25. And the North Bay is now teeming with pumpkin patches and corn mazes, all running until Oct. 31. One of my aspirations in life is to make it down to the Winchester Mystery House for Festival Fright Nights; maybe this year’s the year!

By the way, COYOTE is hosting a LitCrawl event in San Francisco on Oct. 24! (Scroll down for more details.) See you there?

This week we also have a broth bar buffet, a backwards reading of the U.S. Constitution, rice porridge for dogs, and more. We'll post new events each Wednesday. Go forth and enjoy!
