This week we've got Palestinian weaving, Panamanian Mother's Day, and parties galore.
What we’ve learned from 2.5 months on the job.
Fuck Amazon, shop local. Here’s where.
Listen, you’re probably inundated with gift guides by now. In fact, we have our own coming soon. But maybe after all that scrolling, you’re simply not feeling any of it. Or maybe you like the thrill of the chase — walking past a shop and finding that perfect thing for your parent or friend or partner. Well if that’s the case, might we recommend a holiday market? The Bay Area is full of them, and each one is packed with local artists and craftspeople offering jewelry, soaps, ceramics, paintings, wind chimes, wallets, tattoos (yes, tattoos), and more.
At COYOTE, we want to encourage everybody to shop local this season and enjoy the amazing creativity and good vibes of the Bay Area at these holiday markets. And to help you do that, we’ve compiled a map of over 40 holiday markets across the bay! Below you can find our interactive map of markets (zoom in and click around!). If you’re more of a list guy, see below for the full spread and links to more info.
And if I’ve missed a holiday art market you love, send me a note at reo@coyotemedia.org. We'll keep adding markets to the map & list as we hear about them.
