“This is the worst fucking time. But watching people’s response to ICE has been the most affirming thing in the world.”

Welcome to the COYOTE Calendar. Here are this week's handpicked events, just for you. We're coming up on Valentine's Day, so this calendar is heavy on cute crafts and cute sex stuff to do. The Super Bowl is this weekend in Santa Clara (you are rooting for Seattle and I will hear nothing else), and that means both parties and resistance. ICE will be ramping up its presence using the game as cover, be ready to take care of your neighbors. Here are some tips on how to do that.
This weekend you can also check out Grimoire's Gothic Market in Vallejo, Queer Canvas (a queer market) in Alameda, and CODEX X (a fancy book expo) in Oakland. What you can't do, is go to this week's Latino Outdoors event, because once again it has sold out before I've gotten the chance to put it on the calendar! But check out their events page so you can actually get tickets to their stuff without waiting for me to tell you about it. The Bay Area Black Comedy Competition & Festival runs from the 10th through the 15th at the Henry J. Kaiser Center for the Arts, and the OMCA White Elephant Sale continues.
Along with all of that, this week we've got dunes, vintage animation, fonts, and paper fruit. Go forth and enjoy! (Especially you, Tabernacle Dan!) I’m handing the calendar off to my trusty colleagues for the next few weeks while I’m out of town, so be nice to them.

You can see all of COYOTE's past calendar picks here. If you have an event you'd like to see on a future COYOTE Calendar, email us at calendar@coyotemedia.org. If you attended and enjoyed any of these events, we'd love to hear about it in the comments!
